Not sure where he learned to back up and shake his bum, but he busted it out on Christmas.

Catching up - Florida Trip, Haircut, and Halloween
Going to back post this one.
At the end of October we went down to Florida for a visit. As usual, Owen was great on the plane. My parents have a new cat which Owen loved playing with:

It took a while for him to get the hang of how to play with Lexie.

Owen got his first haircut. It didn't go well, he got upset so we stopped. Steve ended up cutting his bangs at home when we got back.

We went out to the glider airport to watch Grandpa. Owen liked the sky divers but was scared of the noise of the planes.

Owen is silly and likes to look upside down at things:

While in Florida we took Owen to Lowry Park Zoo. We'll definitely be coming back here again.
They had lots of silly photo ops:

You can eat lunch overlooking elephants and giraffes (in the air conditioning too, it was hot!)

There were lots of babies:

Mostly he just liked walking around, especially the manatees and trying to feed sting rays.

Here's our little turtle. We didn't get many pictures in the costume. It was so hot he only had it on a few minutes. We went around and visited some old friends mostly, just a couple houses.

We also met up with some friends at the beach and had some lunch and played:

If we were in Florida Owen would go to this preschool, but this trip definitely highlighted that we just aren't hot weather people. Man was it hot! Fun trip though and looking forward to the next one.

Pumpkins
To start, a couple pictures from earlier this week. Those eyes, they sure are blue.

Owen is in need of a haircut. I think he'll be going to the barber shop the next time Steve goes.

On to pumpkins! We all went to a farm in Halifax. It was okay. There were animals to check out. I didn't think cows liked pumpkins. Apparently they are tasty:

Then Owen tried to convince the goat it should say Baa instead of Mee:

We checked out the corn maze, but didn't go in. It looked like it might rain and I have no need for a "time we got stuck in a muddy corn maze in a downpour" story. Owen did check out the pumpkins a bit.
I wanted to check out another farm in Plympton. We stopped and took a few pictures here, then realized it wasn't the farm I thought, it was just a garden supply store. Oh well, got a few good ones:

Then I found the farm I really wanted to see, and decided to come back in the morning when the light would be better. We went home and had some silliness:

Then tried on some boots for winter. A friend at work gave Owen some yellow rainboots that he would not put down.

Now to the good pumpkin pictures. These are a Sauchet Farm in Plympton. Just a few, but if you click on one it will bring you to an album with others. Very picturesque, though Owen kept turning to watch cars on the road like this:

Pictures and not playing baseball
I picked Owen up from daycare and he had a messy diaper that day. I forgot to restock spare clothes, so he got borrowed clothes from the center. A few sizes too big. He didn't seem to mind and thought it was silly. The shorts are 3T, not sure on the shirt.

Didn't seem to prevent him from making a mess when he got home either:

A friend at work told me about the World War I Memorial Park in North Attleboro. Owen and I went to feed the animals and then walk around the garden. These pictures are on some butterfly benches:

And then took my new favorite picture:

The park is awesome. You can bring your own carrots and apples to feed sheep, goats, a horse, pigs, donkeys, miniature horse, and llamas. There is a butterfly garden, a huge tube slide, great playground, and they are putting in a beach area.
On the 27th, we got Owen ready to go to a Gaelic Storm concert (in the same outfit he wore months ago, these are magic pants!). Looked in the living room and he was sitting in his baseball toy. There are two knobby figures he's sitting on.

These pictures are from the 28th, getting ready to go feed the animals again:

And one last wearing before it gets too cold of my favorite summer outfit. He wore it to daycare so his teachers could see it:
