Walking

Steve turned around in the kitchen, and Owen was walking around banging blocks together. They went downstairs to watch the Red Sox, then I came down a few minutes later and he walked around between us. Then I got the camcorder and though I was taping him. Well, I didn't press record. Luckily he still wanted to walk some more after all that. Here it is, a few minutes long.

Fourth of July

Owen had a busy 4th of July weekend.  He got to go see the Smiths and show them how big he is getting.  He even sat on Caitlin, Sean and Lauren's laps. 

 On the 4th we went to Grandpa's to cookout and go swimming.  We weren't sure Owen would like it.  He's only been in one other pool and it was heated.  This pool was 72 degrees.  He did pretty well, Steve wouldn't even go in the pool so it was just me and Owen.

He tried out his new float.  He liked the toggles that hold the canopy on and dunked his face a few times, which shocked him every time.
But he did enjoy it!




That night he practiced making silly faces.  He can make a fish face, but won't do it on command and doesn't keep it long enough to grab the camera.  No fireworks this year aside from tv.  Owen was on a bottle strike from lunch on Friday through Sunday morning, so we didn't want to be out too much with him not drinking.
