Wow

Owen finally jumped tonight. We've been wondering when he'd figure it out.

I will update properly soon. I can't believe there is a whole summer to catch up on!

Last few weeks

Steve went to Hawaii for work. The week after he got back, Owen was sick with something. He decided to have him model the shirt and send me pictures at work. Here's a few of them:

Last weekend I took Owen back to the WWI Memorial Park in Attleboro. Fun day. He loved giving the animals carrots.

There also ended up being a Touch a Truck event there for free, so we walked around a bit. I put him in one of the buckets from a bucket truck:

This was his favorite. He could reach everything and I buckled the belt so he was secure.

The YMCA had a Touch a Truck on Sunday so we went there. He preferred watching the cars in the road.

Checking out the fire truck:

Some other truck:

Big tire with clean wheels, the reflection is cool:

I think some people there didn't even have kids but wanted to check out the cars and trucks themselves:

He liked the backseat of the police car a little too much:

Bump

Steve was gently bumping Owen into things on the tricycle and he thought it was hilarious. If you look closely you can see tears in his eyes.

(he does have a helmet, I need to pull it out)

ABC's

Owen now likes to sing the alphabet song. It's pretty funny. He skips some letters and sometimes starts midway through. Sometimes there are bursts of enthusiasm.

I've been keeping a list of words he knows and it's getting pretty extensive. Phrases too.

Last weekend - Flowers are not for boys apparently

Owen really needed a haircut, like two weeks ago.

All better:

We went to take some pictures in the daffodil like last year.

Testing them out

He wasn't sure why I put him in the flower bed

I broke one off for him to hold but he wauld have nothing of that

Daddy came out so he cheered up a bit

A bird or a plane, don't remember which

Get me out (at least he didn't stomp through them

I tried to give him the one I gave him earlier, still doesn't want it

We went over to Bass Pro Shop and walked on the boardwalk out back

Easter Weekend

Owen got a tricycle recently and wanted to take Pablo for a ride:

Hold on!

He still can't reach the peddles quite yet.

Easter weekend was my birthday so I took the day off to have fun with Owen. We went to Drumlin Farm in Lincoln and looked at all the baby animals. At first he was scared, except for the giant pig we he kept yelling oink at. He cried at the crow and the roosters but eventually liked the chickens. He liked the lambs and goats when we left as well.

Later that day we went to Natick Mall, somehow he was the one the got presents though, new sunhats and a big duplo sheet for building legos. Then we picked up Steve and headed into Boston to go to the Children's Museum and meet Uncle Gaelen at the bus station. Fun night, ended with yummy cake.

Saturday we went into Boston. Since it was a little early for lunch, we walked towards the aquarium first. There is a nice park on the waterfront were Owen ran after dogs and Steve ran after Owen.

Chasing

Running towards some dogs

Wrangling Owen

We stopped by the aquarium to see the harbor seals in the tank out front

We walked the Freedom Trail and ended up at a park again. He got tired and whiney though

Sunday he couldn't wait for anyone to wake up to get into his Easter basket. He got a tractor and some zoo animals, bubbles, and fun Dr. Suess alphabet flash cards.
